The Power Attic a big hit this winter
Celebrating fifteen years in business, things are really humming at the Power Attic Gym and family fitness centre this winter as a record number of area residents work out for fun, fitness, health, or weight loss. Fitness is really catching on in the Burg. With a large and growing selection of equipment including lots of treadmills, waiting for equipment is not an issue. Twenty four hour access to a fitness facility that is never closed fits the tightest time budget. The Gym also features aerobics classes, a certified fitness instructor and a licensed fitness consultant just in case you are looking for a customized fitness program.
Things have been constantly changing too! Last year more new equipment arrived including two treadmills, another elliptical edge and some surprising specialty pieces. Leasehold improvements undertaken last year were intended to improve comfort and increase motivation according to Management. “We continue to be very excited about our product and believe in the essential requirement for exercise in everyone’s busy schedule. We have a fitness package for every budget, and will do what it takes to encourage community involvement.” said Wood.
Most of us know how important exercise is to good mental and physical health. We know that it relieves stress, increases energy levels, slows the onset of age related ailments. It lowers blood pressure and retards diabetes. It even increases flexibility, improves sleep and strengthens the immune system. You might even lose weight. Recent medical studies have consistently indicated that exercise is both safe and beneficial because it stimulates the cardiovascular function and enhances the body’s ability to use oxygen. Exercise also releases endorphins that give you that “feel good” boost that helps you maintain energy levels throughout the day.
